30 Tips To Help Learner Drivers Pass Their Driving Test in Stoke-on-Trent

Introduction. First of all, let’s be clear; the vast majority of well meaning friends and relatives will give you driving tips because they sincerely want to help you. However, a lot of what gets circulated as advice hasn’t come from a driving test examiner, or driving instructor.

So, uncle Albert who passed his test 1st time 30 years and has never had an accident, genuinely has your best interest at heart. He is probably a safe driver too. But, and it’s a big but, he probably wouldn’t pass a modern driving test!

The driving standards to pass a test in 2017 and beyond are a lot higher than past decades.

On the other hand, you may have friends who have recently passed their tests. They will invariably have their own theories on what ‘got them through the test’. I’ve heard some students say the best time to take a test is early in the morning. Why? In case the examiner ‘fills his/her quota of passes’ by the afternoon. In which case they can’t pass you!
